Is registration free?

Registration is free for all delegates. It includes all three days of plenaries, panels and workshops; conference materials and the FLN Booster Package overview; lunch and refreshments on campus; the FLN Expo; and the Day 3 school field visit (places allocated at registration). Delegates arrange and fund their own travel, visa and accommodation. Delegate places are reviewed and confirmed by the organising team.

What is the registration deadline?

I run TaRL, structured pedagogy or another programme. Is the Lab for me?

The Lab is anchored by ALfA — the pedagogy Dignity Education has taken from 20 to 30,000+ government schools at about US$4 per child — and it is open to every evidence-based approach to foundational literacy and numeracy. Structured pedagogy, Teaching at the Right Level, mother-tongue, community-led and EdTech programmes are invited to present their evidence alongside ours. The question the Lab asks is not which method wins. It is what each ministry, district and NGO can put into a classroom next term.

Do I need a visa, and will you issue an invitation letter?

Accepted Answer

Most delegates use the Indian e-Conference visa, applied for online. It requires an invitation letter from the organisers and the organisers' clearances from the Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Home Affairs, which the organising team obtains for the Lab. Nationalities not eligible for the e-visa apply for a Conference visa at their nearest Indian mission — allow six to eight weeks. Request your invitation letter once your registration is confirmed.

Are there rules for visiting schools and photographing children?

Yes. Delegates follow the Code of Conduct and Child Safeguarding policy; no photography of children without the school's consent.
